About me



You are likely to find my favourite dishes on these pages. This means both cooking reflecting ancient traditions as  well as new cool hipster food.

I am driven by constatnt curiosity for tastes, aromas  and culinary traditions of people I meet. For me the essentials for triumphing in kitchen are great, fresh ingredients, peaceful atmosphere and people to love and cook for. 
I like to think that all the dishes I prepare have a story to tell. From childhood memories wih conforting Oven Cheese with Cloudberries in the windy North to aromatic Fruits and Berries with Orange Blossom aroma taking you to instantly to Fez in Morocco. 
My passion for cooking goes back to my childhood and time spent with my father and grandmom in the kitchen. The food mastering is self-taught. When I am not among pots and pans I am occupied with something totally different- my day work however  fortunately taking me quite often to far away destinations for new culinary inspiration.

My kitchen is located in the countryside in Sweden. Here you are also likely to find the main source of inspiration, my family.

I have been blessed with a life with lots of travel, discovery and learning through new acquaintances. The world of cuisine extends that experience and gives insight to cultures and the way of life of people. Pictures can say more than thousands of words- none of which are suffcient to capture flavoures, textures and aromas of what a dish prepred with love and devotion can offer on our plate!
 I have had the priviledge to visit and experience, but always fallen back to the soulful art of oriental kitchen. It has the elements of coolness for hot sun burn days, a warm for the chill of the mystic and loud evenings as well as refreshing and energizing for peaceful long afternoons in the garden.

I moved and lived in Istanbul, Turkey and travelled around this magical country. The discoveries I found in the local cuisine, with so many local  variations were magnificent. Back in the North I am still on that journey, experiencing and experimenting the delight of Turkish Kitchen - and sharing it and occational kitchen triumps now with You!
